ERIE, Pa. – Matt Bittner earned Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Player of the Week for the week of April 24-May 1.

Bittner crushed three much needed homers for the Penn State Behrend baseball team, who are riding a four-game win streak into the playoffs. The sophomore third baseman batted .625 (10-14) including a couple doubles and a triple. Bittner also drove in 15 runs and scored eight in the undefeated week.

Bittner and the Lions (21-10, 13-5 AMCC) secured the No. 3 seed in the upcoming AMCC tournament and will host the No. 6 seed on Saturday in a best of three series.
