Lawrence, Wade Named AMCC Athletes of the Week

Senior Anne Lawrence and freshman Meghan Wade have been named the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Women’s Swimmer and Diver of the Week, respectively.

ERIE, Pa. – Senior Anne Lawrence (State College, PA/State College) and freshman Meghan Wade (Berea, OH/Berea) have been named the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Women’s Swimmer and Diver of the Week, respectively.

On Saturday against Washington & Jefferson, Lawrence won the 200 butterfly in 2:22.10 and also placed second in the 100 butterfly (1:03.64).

Wade is earning her fifth AMCC Diver of the Week accolades. The newcomer tallied two second-place finishes against the Presidents, taking second in the 1-meter diving (199.75) and on the three-meter board (169.55).

The Lions return to action on Friday at Pitt-Bradford. Meet time is 5 p.m.
